It has already been 2 months since I had double jaw surgery and 3D contouring at Glam Plastic Surgery 🙂
I decided to have surgery because I was concerned about my peanut-shaped face, protruding mouth, and facial asymmetry, and although there is still quite a bit of residual swelling, I am satisfied so far.
After deciding on double jaw and contouring surgery, I planned to visit several hospitals and compare options, but Glam Plastic Surgery was my first consultation.
The consultation went on without any waiting as scheduled, which was nice, and since it was my first surgery I did not know much, but Director Shin Dae-hye explained everything from start to finish kindly, so I could consult without any pressure 😃
When I first met Director Lee Tae-seong, I was nervous and could not ask many questions, but I could tell he had a lot of experience with facial bones, and I gained trust that he understood the direction I wanted even without my having to explain everything in detail.
So I decided on surgery without looking into other hospitals further, and I also went ahead with consideration of future philtrum reduction.
Because I have been walking steadily every day and managing the swelling, changes are appearing slowly but surely, and although there is still a lot of internal swelling, compared with one month ago it seems to have gone down a lot.
So I am looking forward to how different it will be at the 3-month mark 😳
When I first saw the CT images after surgery, I was so surprised that I even asked the surgeon again whether it was really my own photo 🤢
You could see that my face had shrunk quite a bit overall, and seeing the lines neatly refined made me realize that the changes had been hidden by the puffy swelling surrounding the bones all this time 🙄
After seeing the CT, I was also able to put my mind at ease about the swelling that had been coming off so slowly.
And perhaps because they preserved the nerve line so well, sensation started to return about a week and a half after surgery. When the stitches and screws were removed it felt so vivid that I cried, but the surgeon comforted me and guided the procedure well, so I was able to get through it safely 🥹
After the periods of tingling, itching, and dull sensations passed, both the surface sensation and the deeper sensation have come back a lot, and now it feels naturally like my own flesh.
I did not expect nerve recovery to be this fast, but I think it is because the surgery was done well and because I recover quickly too 👍🏻
Before surgery, I did not bring celebrity photos or give detailed requests separately, and I trusted Director Lee Tae-seong's sense of aesthetics and judgment from years of surgical experience.
He reduced the proportions to suit my face in a natural way, and I also like the line of my cheekbones.
I felt once again that for such a big surgery, the surgeon's experience and aesthetic sense are really important, and I am grateful to Director Lee Tae-seong 🙂↕️
