6-month update after double jaw surgery

Since high school, I realized my jaw was longer than other people's, and that made me start worrying about my appearance. When taking photos or talking with people, my side profile bothered me, and especially because I was getting married and would have to stand in front of many people at the wedding, I began to seriously consider changing my appearance. For that reason, about 9 months before the wedding, I decided to have double jaw surgery. Now, 6 months after the surgery, my facial line has settled in naturally, and compared to before the surgery, I feel much more satisfied with the change. As the major swelling mostly went down, I often hear that my face looks smaller and slimmer, and more people now say the surgery doesn’t look overdone and looks natural, as if it were always my face. Eating and daily life are now possible with almost no inconvenience, so my quality of life has improved greatly, and I’ve also gained a lot of confidence in my side profile. As I prepare for the wedding photoshoot and ceremony, I really feel I made the right decision to have double jaw surgery, and I’m looking forward to an even more natural and stable appearance after the remaining recovery period.
