I started orthodontic treatment as soon as I turned 20, and I did it without extractions. My upper teeth were already fairly well aligned, so I focused on the lower teeth and had treatment for about a year and a half. The result seems good. Everything else is fine, but it is a little disappointing that if the retainer falls out, the extra cost is expensive.
