My silicone removal surgery process (closed approach)

((Beginning)) I had my first surgery three years ago with an open approach. The materials used were silicone, septal cartilage, and ear cartilage, and at the time I wanted the bridge and tip of my nose to rise with a natural feel. But contrary to what I expected, my nose ended up looking way too pinched.... I did want a narrow nose, but the way it turned into something that looked like it had been squeezed by a laundry clip was just so stressful.((Middle)) My mental state got worse day by day.. but people around me kept saying it looked fine.. Since everyone said it was fine, I started wondering if I was the one overthinking it, and that went on for three years. No matter how I looked at it, the tip was too high and awkward, so I eventually started looking into removal surgery. By then several years had already passed, and most removal clinics said a consultation was possible. When I went, they generally said they would need to remove the silicone through an open approach and then use costal cartilage again to provide support. If that was the only option, I might have done it, but.. after my first surgery I had a lot of stress from the columella scar because it had been done open, so I didn’t want that. So after looking and looking for a place that could do it closed, I ended up consulting at [Clinic B], and went ahead with surgery after being told closed surgery was possible.((End)) Of course, they didn’t say for sure that only the closed approach would be used.. They said they might have to open up during surgery if needed That part was really unavoidable.. Still, when Director Oh Seung-il checked my septal cartilage size, he said it looked fine, so I trusted that one thing and begged them to please do it closed while I received the removal surgery (silently^^). From my perspective, other places said only open surgery was possible, but here they said closed surgery was possible, so I had no choice but to decide on this place. Whatever it is, consult carefully and go to many places....((Conclusion)) Fortunately, I was able to get the removal surgery with a closed approach! I also had septal extension done, and used ear cartilage plus cartilage particles to avoid any step-off. The capsule was not thick, so they said they didn’t remove it separately, and the procedure went ahead without using costal cartilage. But even though it was closed, there was quite a bit of swelling because it was a revision surgery. Still, maybe because the silicone was gone? Moving my philtrum and lips felt less awkward than after my first surgery. With the silicone removed, I didn’t feel any foreign-body sensation anymore, and even with the swelling I could see the pinched shape had improved, so I was excited. People around me tried hard to stop me, but after the removal my mind felt so much calmer... My skin hadn’t really stretched much to begin with, so forcing it up that high must have made it look awkward. And actually, now my nose looks more natural and pretty than my original nose I really feel like everything turned out as a relief... I hope my review helps even one person. I truly hope everyone succeeds with removal + reconstruction surgery!
