First of all, I have a bulbous nose, and I decided on revision surgery to improve the bulbous nose and get a more glamorous shape. In my first surgery, mesh and ear cartilage were used (I thought they had operated with septal cartilage, but the first-surgery clinic lied and put in mesh). I feel like there is some drooping of the nasal tip, but doctors say there is almost none. Writing mainly about the clinics I remember.
1. ㅇㅇㅂ(ㅔㅣㅣ) Director Kim ㅈㅇ. First, there was absolutely no excessive treatment or trying to deceive the patient. He told me that my columella was already sturdy, so they only needed to place ear cartilage on top and raise it. He said doing reconstructive surgery would be a waste of money. He seemed very experienced. Since it was just adding ear cartilage and setting up the septum, it came out to around 3.3 million won, I think.
2. ㅁㅇㅌ(ㅏㅣㅣ) Director Park ㅈㅎ. I thought it wouldn’t be expensive because this place hasn’t been open long, but it was expensive. The consultant said they make the prices for autologous costal cartilage and donated rib cartilage similar to prevent people from choosing donated rib cartilage when they should use autologous costal cartilage because of the price, but when I got the price guide, the two were basically the same. They acted like they were different from other clinics, but the prices were similar to other clinics. From what I remember, donated rib cartilage was in the 5 million won range and autologous costal cartilage was in the 6 million won range, so since it’s expensive anyway, you end up choosing autologous costal cartilage.
The doctor didn’t seem to have his own clear principles or anything like that. It felt like if the patient wanted something, he would do everything. But if what the patient wants would ruin the patient’s face, shouldn’t he stop them? This place didn’t have that. Other clinics all told me not to do alar base reduction, but here they said they would do it. When I asked whether I should get fat grafting or not, the answer was half-hearted, like “It would be good if you do it~.”
The price was 6.8 million won for autologous costal cartilage and alar base reduction.
3. ㄷㄷㅇ(ㅓㅗㅓ) - Director Kim ㅌㅅ He gave a very sincere consultation and even drew on my nose photo with a pencil to show me the design. He tends to be firm about what not to do. He also said he was confident about raising the nose height. 5.4 million won with donated rib cartilage, 6.5 million won with autologous costal cartilage. Honestly, after seeing the review photos, I was drawn to this place because they seemed to create a glamorous result well, but when I dug through the reviews, there were reviews about nasal tip drooping and a Westernized nose, so I suddenly became hesitant.
No cost if after-sales service is within 1 year.
4. ㅇ(ㅏㄴ) - Director Ahn ㅅㅂ I had never heard of this place, but found out about it while exchanging messages with users on another community. In terms of consultation, this place was the best, and the price was reasonable too. The review photos were also glamorous and pretty. If you want natural, he does it naturally too. The inside of the clinic honestly feels like it would be some odd plastic surgery clinic where only middle-aged women and men go, but the director’s hands are really trendy.
The issue is that he said there is no difference between donated rib cartilage and autologous costal cartilage, and diagnosed me with donated rib cartilage for 4.4 million won. But as you all know, I’m very hesitant about donated rib cartilage for revision surgery because of absorption issues. I don’t want to spend a lot of money just to take a gamble. I wasn’t able to ask whether autologous costal cartilage was impossible.
The consultation was really detailed, and he explained the plan for how he would improve the bulbous nose and also recommended a line that would suit me. And from what I saw, he takes good care of patients after surgery. I’m going to call soon, and if they say they also do autologous costal cartilage, I do feel like I’d want to do it here.
5. ㅇㅇ( ㅗㅔㅁ) - Director Oh ㅁ
The long-awaited ㅇㅇ. I had the highest expectations for this place. I called in July, booked a consultation for December, and scheduled surgery for March. These days, I heard consultations are only possible around July or August now... For the diagnosis, he also said we should only add ear cartilage. When I said I wanted a glamorous shape and height, he said it was possible by adding more ear cartilage. But I feel like my columella and nasal column area protrude a bit, so I actually want to completely reconstruct it into Director Oh ㅁ’s signature line. I only told the consultant that I want another consultation. If I do a second consultation, I’m going to bring up reconstruction with autologous costal cartilage. And if it’s here, I’m also open to donated rib cartilage. Someone who had surgery five times also used donated rib cartilage here and said it maintained well, and the director personally showed on YouTube that he only brings in good donated rib cartilage, so I trust him... I know I shouldn’t be like this. Anyway, fat grafting with another director was an event price of 1.24 million won, I think, same as the community price, and the nose was revision surgery with ear cartilage for 5.5 million won. This place is very expensive...
