- Concerns before surgery Because I had ptosis, I had been opening my eyes with my forehead. As a result, by evening my forehead had been used to open my eyes all day, so I often had headaches, and I could not open my eyes clearly, which made them look half-shut and was a concern for me. - Reasons for choosing the hospital and the director I went after hearing that Director Ham Gi-won of Gwanggan Plastic Surgery had performed a lot of male eye surgery. Even on the day I went for the consultation, I saw a male patient coming out after eye surgery, so I could personally feel that he had a lot of experience with male eye surgery. Director Ham Gi-won also consulted well according to the patient's needs. Rather than saying it could always be done, he clearly explained what could be done through surgery and what could be pursued, which made me trust him more. - Surgical details and process To correct ptosis, I had incisional double eyelid surgery, ptosis correction, lateral canthoplasty, and lower canthoplasty. I had incisional double eyelid surgery and ptosis correction to improve my eye-opening strength, and because the outer corners of my eyes were upturned, lateral canthoplasty and lower canthoplasty were also performed together. On the day of surgery, after arriving at Gwanggan Plastic Surgery, I had preoperative photos taken and a final consultation with Director Ham Gi-won. There were many patients coming to see Director Ham Gi-won, but because he gave each patient sincere attention, there was a bit of waiting during the surgical process. The surgery was performed under sedation and local anesthesia, and it took about an hour. - Thoughts after surgery I was satisfied with the overall system at Gwanggan Plastic Surgery. The space is clean and everyone is kind. I also liked that inquiries through KakaoTalk were answered quickly. - Satisfaction It has only been 2 months, so I am still adapting to my eyes after surgery. Still, compared with before, opening my eyes using my forehead muscles has improved, so the discomfort of opening my eyes has decreased. Of course, there is still swelling in my eyes, but I think it will go down over time, and I am waiting for them to become a little more natural.
