These were photos I had saved just for my own record, so my appearance may be a little hard to look at. My friends used to tease me, saying, “What kind of man gets cosmetic surgery?” But after seeing mine, they suddenly all started asking me to share the information;; I had correction for a bulbous nose and a hump nose, and used silicone + autologous costal cartilage. Even for a first surgery, the reason I chose autologous costal cartilage was mainly because I didn’t want to stress over things like tip drooping or absorption, and because it’s my own cartilage, I felt it wouldn’t be foreign to the body, so that’s why I decided on it. Of course, autologous costal cartilage doesn’t mean there are no downsides, and I’m not ignorant of that, but I have no regrets about the material choice for the tip lol Anyway, the reason my nose surgery was successful, in my opinion, comes down to three things. (((((Long post warning))))) First. I went around the clinics my older sister recommended without complaining. I knew objectively that my sister had much better aesthetic sense, so I didn’t complain when she pointed them out and visited them all. Honestly, the consultation quality was much better than the place I had chosen myself, and I liked the designs they made, so in the end I only worried about the clinics my sister had recommended lol Second. I checked the surgeon’s career. Even at a famous hospital that’s been around a long time, if there’s a newly joined surgeon, they sometimes run a cheaper event price, and if you don’t specify a surgeon, they’ll slot you into that surgeon’s consultation, things like that. I had already looked up all the consultation reviews in advance, so at places with multiple surgeons I always made sure to specify the surgeon when booking. Even at the clinic where I got surgery, I went there with a specified surgeon, and just like the reviews said, they immediately understood the characteristics of my nose. After that, they explained the surgical method and recommended materials. Thanks to that, even I, who was a total beginner, came out like a nose-surgery expert... (sorry for being dramatic) Third. I looked at the clinic atmosphere. If you’ve already looked at the surgeon who does the operation, then you should also check what the place itself is like, right? I paid attention to whether it was clean, whether they were kind, whether responses were fast, and so on lol That way, even if something really really really really goes wrong with the surgery, you can kind of predict how they’ll handle it... Wanting surgery in a hygienic place is natural, of course lol The only hard part is exactly until before the packing is removed after surgery (other than not being able to wash, it really wasn’t painful or uncomfortable), and honestly, if I can live with this nose, then I’d do it again if I went back, and when I think about the result, I think it’s bearable
