Eye Surgery Reviews

Came back from eyelid revision consultation, torn between two places

I went to [Clinic A] for an eyelid revision consultation. Originally I was looking into revision because one side felt like the crease had loosened and, overall, the line had gotten thinner. The main priority was improving the difference between the left and right sides and the feeling of being covered, rather than raising the line height a lot.

During the consultation, they looked at my current eye condition quite carefully. They explained why the line looked the way it did and which part made it seem covered, so I understood it well. I preferred an in-out line, though I had also considered a semi-out line, but they said that with my current eye condition, making it too high could actually become burdensome.

They tried the line on me several times, and I liked that they compared the feeling by setting it at slightly different heights. In particular, instead of saying everything was possible no matter what, they were honest about what could and could not be done, so that felt good. They seemed to have seen a lot of revision cases.

I also went for an eyelid revision consultation at [Clinic B]. The overall consultation atmosphere was comfortable. The director had a somewhat calm style. It seemed like they looked more at the overall impression and balance than just the line itself.

I wanted a clearer look, so I was thinking of making the line a little more distinct, but based on my current eye condition, they recommended keeping it natural rather than making it too high. They did set the line, and personally I liked the line set by [Clinic A] a bit more. Still, the explanation itself was detailed. They said revision surgery has more variables than expected because of scars and tissue condition, and that pushing too hard can actually make it look unnatural.

If you like natural-looking eyes, it might be a good fit.

Both consultations were fine. My impression was:

[Clinic A] = checks the line in detail (liked the line they set) + clear about whether surgery is possible or not [Clinic B] = overall balance + detailed explanation of the surgical process

I'm still deciding, but I'd like to hear opinions from people who've had eyelid revision consultations too T_T
