I went in for a consultation about a loose eye revision surgery

I had my first double eyelid surgery with partial incision in 2019, but recently the line has become much less visible, so I went in for a consultation about revision eyelid surgery. Since I live outside Seoul, I went up to Seoul and visited four clinics, and one of them was ㅇㅁㄹ. I had booked in advance, and there were definitely a lot of people. I expected some waiting, but maybe because it was the summer peak season, there were really a lot of people. Still, because the surgery ahead of me with the director finished quickly, I ended up finishing sooner than the wait time I had been told in advance. I went for a consultation with the chief director specifically, so I paid 50,000 won in advance as a no-show deposit, and got it refunded after the consultation. The consultation style definitely felt different from the other places. It’s the kind of style that some people will like and some won’t, but honestly I didn’t feel anything bad about it. After telling me my current eye condition in a very straightforward, realistic way, they asked what I wanted. First I asked whether I needed ptosis correction, and they said the main issue was that the line itself had loosened, not a problem with the muscles that open the eyes, so there was no need to add that separately. They said it very directly and didn’t feel like they were trying to pile on extra procedures. They looked at the eyebrow bone as the 기준 for how high the line could go and told me the limit, saying it was suitable for an eye that should go naturally. Still, I didn’t want the line to disappear too much, and said I wanted it to be at least faintly visible, so they suggested a direction where they would lightly open the upper part and pull it upward in a tsundere kind of way, saying that would still make the line visible. They were cynical, but once they spoke, they listened to everything. The line itself was also defined cleanly. There were a few suggestions that were a little different from what I had originally thought, but after hearing the explanation, I understood why they said that because they pointed at my eye and explained it while shaping the line. They seemed like someone who only says exactly what’s needed, so some people might feel they’re blunt. But for me, I actually liked that they spoke realistically. Among the places I visited in person, this one left the strongest impression, so it’s the consultation I remember most clearly. The director is the type who explains the 기준 in a rather firm way, so even if this isn’t your preferred style, I think it’s a good place to visit consultations and get a sense of your own 기준. It’s a place with a lot of people and the waiting is the downside, but after consulting there, I could understand why people still get surgery there. Oh, and if you’re like me and coming from outside Seoul, getting off at Sinnonhyeon Station is actually closer to the clinic! If there’s anyone feeling back and forth about their eyes, I think it’s worth recommending a consultation here at least once.
