Usually when people talk about scar treatment, they say it is hard to improve by 100%, and when I was a student I tried acne scar treatment for the first time too, but I didn't see much effect, so I didn't have high expectations to begin with. I had a friend who had it even worse and deeper than me, and we always leaned on each other and shared information. Then, after a really long time, we met again, and her complexion looked much better, and more than anything, her acne scars had become incredibly flat.
So I booked right away at the clinic where my friend had been treated, and I went there with the thought that even if it only improved by 40 to 50%, I would be more than satisfied. I live in Gyeonggi-do, but I went to a dermatology clinic in Jamsil, Seoul almost every month for about half a year.. The place I went to was DaeTaena Clinic, and the treatment I had there was the famous 'Salkyul Therapy'. When the procedure started, sometimes I thought, my skin looks a bit better? The next month, ah, what, it got worse? My emotions kept swinging like that, and I endured it for about 6 months in total, but everyone I met kept telling me my skin had improved so much.. Now even when I look in the mirror, the acne scar areas are flatter and smoother, and at times they even seem to have a glow.. The after photo was taken recently after the last treatment, so it's a bit red, but even my complexion has really improved. During the consultation, the director showed me other people's progress cases, and they said that people much worse than me, like my friend, even come from far away in the provinces.. And I had heard from the start that people who have acne scars and also very deep scar-like pores at the same time are not easy to treat, but I saw a lot of improvement in the pores too, so these days I feel that all the suffering was worth it.
To be very honest, I didn't think it would improve this much.. They were always careful with the procedure, but I had some skepticism about acne scar treatment itself. Still, after investing money, effort, and time, I have gained faith that it can get better, so I'm leaving this review. I was also quite dry during treatment, so I worked hard on hydration care at home too. Since skin regeneration and recovery are also important during treatment, I hope this helps everyone!
