Here's my next-day review after upper-body lipo! I'm writing this just to share information!!
After the surgery yesterday, I was honestly so out of it that I could barely look at my phone T_T
Today I feel a little better than yesterday, so I'm writing this as a record and a review.
This time I had only the upper and lower back and love handles done, excluding the arms, and I heard the pure fat amount was around 4500.
Because I have a small frame? Since I'm short, the director explained that for an average body type it would be around 6000, and because it could put strain on my body, they recommended doing the arms separately.
They had told me this in advance during the consultation, so I was fine with it! But now that I think about it, I think it was really the right choice...
My back hurt and felt bruised more than I expected, so it was hard to lie flat for a long time T_T
Still, because I didn't do the arms, I was able to change positions to my side, but if I'd done the arms too, it would have been really hard.
I prefer safety over trying to take out as much as possible out of greed, so that actually made me feel more at ease.
And the hardest part after surgery was the urinary catheter... They had explained it beforehand, but when I actually woke up, it felt so uncomfortable and awkward lol so I kept calling the nurses and manager T_T
But everyone took such good care of me. They kept bringing Pocari, yogurt drinks, porridge, and grape juice, and they even arranged a taxi for me, so I was grateful.
The director's style is very thorough when explaining things! It was honestly at the point where I was thinking, 'Okay, enough... I get it already 🤣' because they explained the surgery process, recovery, and care in such detail.
Actually, I had eye revision surgery at another large hospital before, and back then my younger sibling had the surgery first and I followed after.
But even though the result for my sibling wasn't good, I remember feeling disappointed with how they handled things afterward.
That place had a consent form saying that if you wrote a bad review related to your experience, they would take legal action regardless of the facts, but this hospital didn't feel like that.
Instead, they only gave guidance about situations where people don't follow the care instructions and then blame the hospital.
I thought that part was understandable, so I was fine with it.
The hospital isn't huge or flashy, but they looked over the design carefully and explained the lines in detail, so I actually trusted them more.
They said the arms would be possible after 2 weeks, but because of my schedule it's planned for about 3 weeks later.
It might be better overall to let my back recover first and then do it lol
And the compression garment... it's really harder than I expected T_T
It feels so stuffy that even after eating, my digestion feels off...
The hospital told me I need to eat well to recover, and also told me to make sure to have things like beef-bone soup or grape juice, so I've been forcing myself to eat lol
Another thing I liked was that they didn't have a 분위기 of making me starve or recommending diet pills. They said recovery comes first, so I felt at ease.
I also had an experience of developing fibrosis after underarm breast tissue surgery before, so I'm mentally prepared for some of that this time too, and I'm going to follow the instructions and take care of myself diligently!
I hope radiofrequency and manual care together will help refine the line nicely 🙏
Oh, and the funny part is lol
The bruising went all the way down to my thighs, and my mom keeps suspecting that I had my thighs done too...
My thighs are still the same though 🤣
The bruising seems to have moved downward, which is kind of strange lol
