6-Month Review After Full Incision Double Eyelid Surgery

When I took photos with my friends, my eyes looked smaller than my friends who had double eyelids, and I felt bad, so I started using eyelid tape. But my eyelid skin got so stretched out and my eyes felt so tired that it was hard. Then winter vacation was coming up and I was about to enter high school, so I started thinking about getting double eyelid surgery. I saw JT Plastic Surgery on TikTok and thought it looked good, so I booked a consultation and went. When the director counseled me, he measured everything very carefully and used a very impressive-looking device to hold up my eyes, then had me look in the mirror to see which line looked best. I had also been considering canthoplasty and ptosis correction, but he clearly told me they probably weren't necessary, which made me trust him more. On the day of surgery too, when he was setting the double eyelid line, I could see how cautious his eyes were. And right before the surgery, when I was lying on the operating table, he seemed to check it the most. It felt like he did it around 20 times. I actually liked that. It really came through that he wanted to make my eyes pretty. Also, the friendly older female staff member at JT Plastic Surgery told me right before surgery that I should think good thoughts because good dreams come during sleep, and that the injection would be the only painful part and once the injection was over the pain would be over too. And honestly, until the anesthesia wore off after surgery, it didn't hurt at all. Even after the anesthesia wore off, aside from the pain on the day of surgery, it didn't hurt much for an incision surgery. I had been wondering why I was so worried it would hurt before surgery, and now the swelling has gone down a lot and I'm really satisfied!
