Several years ago, I had an inner corner surgery at a certain hospital, and I also tried to do my aftercare diligently. But the inner corner on the left opened too much and became crooked, so my eyes ended up severely asymmetric. After that one inner-corner surgery went badly, my self-esteem dropped badly, I could hardly look people in the eye, and I even developed social avoidance. The hospital said they could do a correction surgery, but I did not want to have another surgery at the place that had already damaged my eyes like this, so I looked for a hospital that specializes in correction surgery by searching for lots of real reviews. While doing that, my friend got double eyelid surgery and looked insanely beautiful, so I asked where she had it done, and she told me it was at Wink. I searched it and found it was an eye specialty hospital, and the reviews were all pretty good. My friend said the consultation was kind, and since consultations are free anyway, I should go get a consultation for correction, so I went to Wink for an inner-corner correction consultation. I consulted with Director Kim Gi-beom. The consultation style did not give me false hope for no reason, but felt like realistic facts. Thinking about it now, maybe that is why I trusted it even more. Director Kim checked my eye condition and carefully looked at how things would change if I did the correction. He told me that even a slight overcorrection in inner-corner surgery can change a person’s impression a lot, and that restoring an eye that has already been operated on once is an even more difficult surgery. He said inner-corner correction is not just a surgery to close the front corner, but one that has to deal with the opened tissue and scar tissue, so it is a more delicate operation than I expected. During the consultation, they also showed me before-and-after photos of inner-corner corrections done at Wink, and I was surprised because there were quite a lot of cases similar to mine. The surgical results were exactly what I wanted, so I decided to have the correction surgery at Wink. It has been about 7 months since surgery, and I am really satisfied with the results! The scar was my biggest worry, but now it is barely noticeable and the redness has faded a lot. My right eye now matches the left naturally, so I feel more confident in relationships with other people too, haha. It was not just appearance anxiety, it really caused mental stress, seriously. For the first 1 to 2 months, swelling and bruising made it feel a bit stuffy, and there was some redness too, but as time passed it gradually became more natural. I did not rush it and took good care of it, so around 3 to 4 months in, the hook-like shape was gone, and after about 6 to 7 months it had almost fully settled. I really recommend getting inner-corner correction at a hospital that specializes in eyes. Even if it is not Wink, definitely make the effort to visit hospitals known for eyes. Results can vary a little because the eye condition, surgical method, and amount of scar tissue are all different, but I am extremely satisfied because I have almost no scar and the balance between both eyes is good. I wrote this at length in case it helps others who are suffering like I did when my corner surgery went badly. I hope everyone who gets inner-corner correction succeeds too.
