Two years ago I had fat grafting under my eyes, but as time went on, I gradually became unhappy with the area under my eyes. The most uncomfortable part was that the aegyo-sal I originally had seemed to almost disappear, and the under-eye shape didn’t look natural, with one side constantly feeling like it was bulging outward. In particular, depending on how I felt, there were days when the under-eye area looked severely swollen, and other days when it seemed to go down a bit, so the condition kept changing and that was stressful. It was also very noticeable in photos, which made me pay a lot of attention to it. At first I thought it was just swelling or that it would get better with time, but even after 2 years it didn’t improve, so I started looking into several clinics. During the consultations, I was told that it was necessary to correct both the foreign material remaining under the eyes and the current under-eye shape, and after enough consultation I went ahead with the surgery. The part I was most satisfied with after surgery was that the under-eye area, which had been unnaturally protruding, became much smoother. The cycle of swelling up and then settling down was also greatly reduced, and the expression that had looked stuffy became much more natural. Above all, the aegyo-sal line that had disappeared came back naturally, and my face looked much softer. I had thought I previously had fat repositioning, but after the consultation I realized it’s important to accurately check the actual condition and correct it according to the current eye state. Since it was a revision surgery I was worried, but thanks to a careful consultation and proceeding with it, I’m satisfied with the result. If your under-eye shape looks unnatural, the aegyo-sal seems to have disappeared, or you keep dealing with recurring swelling, I recommend getting a thorough consultation rather than worrying alone and having your current condition diagnosed accurately. For me, it had been a long-standing concern, but through correction I was able to regain a much more natural and comfortable eye area, so it was a very satisfying surgery.
