The thing that exhausted me most while going around for nose consultations was that everywhere I went, they said silicone was absolutely necessary if I wanted to raise the bridge properly. If I said I was scared of putting in a foreign material, everyone would just brush it off with, “These days it won’t even show~” I hated that so much. Then I went to J&V near Sinsa Station, and honestly I had just gone there to ask whether they could do it without an implant. But Director Kang Joo-yong said he could even build the bridge using my own cartilage, and he explained why this method suited me, even drawing pictures. It didn’t feel salesy at all, so I felt like this was the place. The most surprising thing after surgery is that when I touch my nose, there’s no hard foreign-body feeling. It just feels like my original nose. I had been putting it off for years because I was scared of silicone, and it honestly feels almost absurd now. If you can’t get a nose job because you dislike implants, I recommend asking first whether it can be done without one.
