Nose Surgery Reviews

Come see a review of a fully successful functional + cosmetic nose surgery!

It was my first nose surgery in my mid-20s, and I also had the inconvenience of my nose getting stuffy often because of my chronic rhinitis. What bothered me most appearance-wise was the bulbous nose tip that looked wide from the front, and my broad nostrils. That said, I didn’t want a nose that was too high or flashy from the start. I wanted a subtly refined look while keeping a natural height. I also preferred using donated rib cartilage because I wanted the tip to be supported stably, and after looking for a place that could improve both functional issues and the shape of my nose at the same time, I ended up consulting at High-End Plastic Surgery. Rather than just showing Dr. Im Ji-hong the photos I wanted, I also told him the shapes I absolutely did not want. I said I didn’t want the bridge to stand out all by itself on my face, or the tip to be pointed up too sharply, and he gave me a direction that would tidy up the bulbous tip and nostrils while keeping a natural height. He explained which parts were needed for functional rhinoplasty and which parts were for cosmetic correction, and he also told me where each material, from silicone to ear cartilage, septal cartilage, and donated rib cartilage, would be used, which made it easy to understand. After the surgery, the wide-looking nasal tip came together, and my front view became much clearer than before. My nostrils were also reduced to fit my facial proportions, so my nose no longer looks like it spreads out a lot sideways when I smile. From the side, it is not just a nose with the height raised dramatically, but one that flows naturally from the bridge to the tip, bringing out the refined mood I wanted. The columella and nasolabial angle were also corrected together, so the tip does not look droopy, and the line connecting to my lips looks softer. Since this was my first nose surgery and there were so many materials and correction areas, I was worried, but in the end I think it was a choice that addressed everything needed at once. The bulbous tip and nostrils were definitely improved, but the nose itself does not stand out too strongly, which is what I like most. I’m satisfied because they addressed the functional discomfort too, while still preserving a natural and refined look.
