I had it done in April 2019. My upper eyelids weren’t thick, but I still had an incisional procedure. At the time, I visited 3 places for consultations; some recommended buried sutures, but this place firmly recommended incision from the start. I proceeded with ptosis correction + epicanthoplasty + double eyelid surgery (incisional). When I asked about lateral canthoplasty, they said there wasn’t enough space and my eyes would turn inward;;
Since I did it at a one-doctor clinic, anesthesia was not sedation, but local/regional anesthesia. The injections were seriously... I resented so much that I had two eyes. Tears just streamed down on their own Maybe because there were many options;; I think it took over 2 hours, and since I didn’t do it under sedation, the director kept asking me to open my eyes during the surgery, so thanks to that, I confirmed with my own eyes that it wasn’t because of eyeshadow! Even though it was incisional, the swelling went down faster than I expected. Major swelling took 6 months / minor residual swelling took another year maybe?? Anyway, once just the major swelling went down, it looked fine with makeup! Now it’s completely gone! I don’t feel like the crease is going to loosen, at least not yet lololol
The only thing that was a little disappointing was that the lines seem slightly uneven When I asked about this, they said it’s because my face was originally asymmetrical... I asked whether the line was in-line/in-out, and they said it was neutral;;; Back then, the term semi-out didn’t exist yet, so I still don’t know exactly whether that’s what they meant lololol
Still, people around me say it looks much better than before I had it done, so I’m living satisfied!!
