Surgical areas: cheekbones, pinless surgery (jaw, chin tip), masseter reduction
Day of surgery: surgery at 11, spoke with the anesthesiologist in the operating room sometime between 11:20 and 11:30. They told me to take a deep breath, so after about two deep breaths I fell asleep. I woke up on one side of the operating room to the sound of a nurse waking me up, and they said I had to go to the recovery room, so I opened my eyes and went to the hospital room with the nurse supporting me. There was no pain at all. The time I came to my senses while looking at my phone was 4:30, so considering I went into surgery around 12, it seems to have taken about 3 and a half hours.
Pain: I’m someone who is very whiny about pain and gets really scared. I’m not exaggerating, there is no pain at all… fascinating… I postponed it because of the pain, but it really doesn’t hurt like this? I had two IV drips, one seemed like antibiotics and one seemed like a pain-control injection.
Water: I started drinking water from 7 p.m., and they also brought me New Care. I couldn’t speak and water kept dribbling out.. I wondered, how am I supposed to drink water? But after trying a few times I got the hang of it and drank water well.
Sleep: I’m usually the type who falls asleep as soon as my head touches the pillow. I set up the pillow well, found the best position, played sleep music, and slept.. I slept deeply until the next morning.. While I was sleeping, Dr. Jihan came to check on me, but I don’t know what time it was. I heard him saying the surgery went well while checking on me, and since I was worried I might fully wake up, I just went back to sleep.
Day 1 after surgery: They said discharge was at 9. I told my younger sibling to come, completed the discharge process, packed my things, and told them to buy my medication. They washed my hair, took a CT, and Dr. Jihan briefly checked my progress. He came to the hospital room. I had told the director in advance that I wanted to see the CT on the day of discharge, and the hospital seemed a bit strained, maybe because there was a surgery schedule, but they accommodated me and showed me the CT.. In the middle of all this, the nurse in charge of the CT was super sensitive.. I felt hurt, but I was too tired to talk or confront anyone, so I just let it go…

I did cold compresses until day 2 and started warm compresses from day 3. I’m going to start eating soup from today hehe I’ll come back to leave another review. Right now it’s a fight against swelling.
Overall: I’m so glad I had the surgery, and there’s no pain. I looked for pain but there isn’t any! (I don’t know what that elephant thing is about ㅠ) The throat pain is about the level of a sore throat from a cold, and blood getting on the tissue when mucus came out of my nose lasted until the day after surgery. The operating room, consultation room, and care room were all comfortable, and I had a high sense of reassurance and satisfaction that they treated patients under optimal conditions. I’m very satisfied with the surgical result. This isn’t an ad.. I want to compliment myself for making a good choice.
