Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews@jaw-review

There are a lot of things to think about after double-jaw surgery..

It’s been about 3-4 years since my surgery, and after surgery you have to get the stitches inside your mouth removed too. From what I remember, for a few months, the jaw and muscles, or whatever you call them, need time to adhere to each other, so even when running around it felt less clunky. Of course I couldn’t chew things like cubed radish kimchi or apples. I was brushing my teeth with a Waterpik and it was such a mess. Even now, years after surgery, if I get even a little tired, my jaw starts pulling first and the muscles feel stiff. I guess that’s one of the side effects? As for things like the mouth becoming crooked or losing sensation, my mouth never became crooked, but I had no sensation for a few months. But the change wasn’t dramatic, so I felt a bit so-so about it. Still, when I look at old photos, I sometimes think, ah, I’d forgotten what I used to look like. Even so, I think side effects are something you have to carry with you, even if only subtly.
