I heard things I had not heard at the previous clinics. He said the bone under my nose is underdeveloped, and because my cartilage is weak, even though this would be my first surgery, he thinks costal cartilage should be used. Since it is not an ENT clinic, insurance reimbursement is not available, so the cost tends to be higher than other places. He recommended using only about 2 cm of silicone.
Conclusion: Both doctors were kind and seem like they would do a good job, but what they said was so different that I am confused.
