It has been over 9 years since my double jaw surgery, and I am looking into nose surgery, but they said that because the septum was damaged during the jaw surgery, it can’t be used, so they mentioned donated rib cartilage and autologous rib cartilage. I’m thinking of using silicone for the bridge and donated rib cartilage for the tip support. Has anyone had nose surgery with donated rib cartilage after double jaw surgery??? I keep hearing that donated rib cartilage can later deform or be absorbed, so I’m worried.
