I had cosmetic surgery done together with nasal fracture surgery to prevent deformity afterward (October 28, at a local university hospital).
They made my nasal bridge too high and placed the starting point from between the eyebrows, so it gives me a masculine look and even makes my midface look longer. I’m considering removal.
I was leaning almost entirely toward removal, but after I happened to see a community post from someone who developed a hump nose and crooked nose after nasal fracture surgery and was looking into rhinoplasty, I’m confused again.
The reason I had rhinoplasty in the first place was because they said the fractured area was ambiguous and deformity could occur later;;
After removing the silicone, if the bones heal and I end up with a hump nose or crooked nose, I think that would stress me out again.
But getting revision surgery also makes me feel uneasy somehow… (I saw too many negative posts while looking into removal and revision surgery.)
I live outside Seoul, but I’ve booked consultations at three hospitals in Seoul at the end of January to look into removal and revision surgery.
Has anyone had an experience like mine..?! ㅠㅠ
