I had double eyelid surgery + ptosis correction + upper eyelid fat removal + epicanthoplasty + surgery for entropion all together at [Clinic A]. Originally I went in because of entropion. My eyelashes kept poking my eyes, which was so uncomfortable, and I was only thinking about a functional surgery. While looking for a good hospital that did that kind of surgery, I found [Clinic A], and after reading reviews it seemed like they also did double eyelids naturally??
At the consultation, after we finished talking about the entropion, they asked if I had any other concerns, so I said I was also thinking a little about double eyelids. They checked my eye proportions, eye-opening strength, eyelid fat thickness, one by one, and designed it for me. They explained that because I also had a bit of ptosis, if we did ptosis correction, fat removal, and epicanthoplasty together, it would look much more refreshed than now. Since it was my first double eyelid surgery, I did not feel too burdened by doing an incision!! Since the entropion surgery also had to be done with an incision anyway, I felt it would be better to do everything at once, and they said they would keep following up on the scar area afterward, so I decided on it. It did not feel like they were forcing extra procedures on me; they were more the type to explain sufficiently why each thing was needed.
But honestly, the beginning was a bit shocking.. The swelling was more than I expected and the bruising lasted a long time;; Around a week later there was still a lot of bruising left, so I almost always had to wear glasses when going outside, and when I smiled or washed my face, I could feel a slight pulling around the eyes. I also worried I might rub my eyes in my sleep without realizing it.
The small bruises lasted almost 2 to 3 weeks, and during that time I barely wore makeup because I felt uneasy for no reason.. Some people do basic base makeup, but I was afraid that touching it would prolong the swelling, so I just endured it.
Still, the most amazing thing was that after surgery, my eyelashes no longer poked my eyes The difference in quality of life was bigger than I expected. If you look from the side, the direction of the lower lashes is also properly downward, and that part really made me comfortable T_T
Now that time has passed, I am wearing contact lenses and makeup again!! Around the one-month mark, though, there were still some mornings with a bit of swelling, and the incision line did not yet feel fully settled! Even the scar still seemed to have a little redness if you looked closely I did use a small filter in the photos, but in real life too my eyes look much clearer and cleaner than before, so keep that in mind. Since it was my first surgery, I think I was extra sensitive about the incision line at first People around me said the scar is not severe and that it looks natural, but because I kept looking at it myself, I could not tell objectively. Still, there is no problem now!!
