Eye Surgery Reviews

Two-month review of double eyelid surgery for a narrow, sunken eye between the brow and the eye, with no compensation

This is just a review I am writing because I have no ties to the hospital and I am simply satisfied with the result. I thought my eye structure was the kind that would not look as pretty as other people even after surgery, and my appearance confidence had fallen through the floor to the point that I usually could not even hold my head up, so I went ahead without any review discount. I could not bear to look at my before photos, so I am only uploading one eye. It has been 2 months since the natural adhesion + upper eyelid fat removal surgery. The preexisting double-fold scar near the inner corner was visible even when another hospital tried to fix it, and it has been fading little by little. Because I tend to swell easily, the photo shows a little residual swelling in the right eye at the inner corner and around the two-thirds point. I also have facial asymmetry, so the degree of sunkenness differs on each side; please keep that in mind when looking. My eyes are sunken eyes with a narrow distance between the brows and the eyes, and the eyelids fold backward into the upper socket. Every time I went to consultations, I felt discouraged because double eyelid surgery would make my eyes look puffy, sharp, and heavy. I even asked at one hospital whether, from the doctor’s point of view, surgery would be better for me, because I wondered if I just had to live like this. But my face has a lot of empty space and my eyes are small, so I still wanted double eyelid surgery. After booking surgery at a clinic that seemed reasonably good, I went to a consultation with [Clinic A] director [Doctor A] to look further. Director [Doctor A] designed a line that looked refined and urban without a sharp, intense feel. It was so pretty that I made up my mind on the spot. And because she answered every question clearly, I felt confident. The consultation was delayed, so I almost canceled and went to the next clinic, but I am honestly glad this was the clinic where I had the surgery. I found it after visiting 7 plastic surgery clinics. I am generally satisfied with the surgical result as well. I think it came out as the best result I could get from my eyes. I can now walk around with my head up even without a mask. The wrinkle on my right forehead used to be severe by my standards, so I first went to ophthalmology clinics that perform ptosis surgery, but the deep wrinkle disappeared with double eyelid surgery alone. I am a person who swells very badly, so I suffered a lot emotionally because of the swelling. Also, for sunken eyes close to the brow, they say the tissue that gets pinched is much thicker than for protruding eyes, so swelling lasts longer, and age also affects recovery speed. If I had not known this and had only listened to people saying it all went down in a month, I would have ended up losing my mind... Now it has mostly gone down, so I am satisfied. - Downsides These downsides are based on when I went there, so things may be different now. 1. When you go for a consultation, they first analyze your eyes thoroughly with an AI program, and I think this could be very polarizing. In my case, I became wary first. Fortunately, it did not lead to a push for surgery. 2. They reflect your concerns well, but their opinions are very firm. I could feel that they had a strong sense of design in the line planning and throughout the clinic, so I would not say that is bad, but if the patient has a specific shape in mind, I thought you would need to negotiate carefully. 3. On the first day, the consultation manager’s tone was very cold, so it felt like I was being driven away. It was fine later. 4. There is no same-day booking discount. It only becomes somewhat cheaper if you get a discount by writing a review condition for [Clinic B] or [Brand A]. 5. It was hard to book swelling care at the time I wanted. - Side notes 1. When you go for a consultation or surgery, be sure to bring a wish photo of eyes with a structure similar to your own. 2. I was worried because the director looked young, but I found out she was born in 1987, so I felt a little more at ease and booked the surgery. 3. Director Kim Sang-il is very kind. 4. I heard the hospital now uses 3 floors, and I am jealous of people having surgery there now. When I had the surgery, it was inconvenient.
