I can finally go out without a mask T_T After living with nose-related stress for almost 20 years, I went in for my third revision surgery thinking this would really be the last one, and it finally succeeded T_TTT
To tell my gloomy nose history first... I think it has been about 20 years since my first nose surgery? Back then, I used an L-shaped silicone implant for the bridge and tip, but within less than 6 months I developed severe nostril asymmetry and had one revision surgery. Then about 13 years ago, I had a strong contracture and inflammatory reaction, so in the end all the L-shaped silicone was removed. They used Gore-Tex for the bridge and only ear cartilage for the tip, I think? But even then, the nostrils were still uneven, scar tissue had built up heavily at the tip, and most of all I had constant pain in the bridge... To make things worse, contracture set in too, so my nose got extremely short and the tip twisted completely to one side. Honestly, I was so stressed that I would not even go to the convenience store in front of my place without a mask T_TTT
So this time, thinking it was really the last surgery of my life, I searched nose revision reviews like crazy. More than a big hospital or flashy interior, I only looked at the director's experience and skill. What mattered most was whether they had handled a lot of extremely difficult cases like mine, where even contracture had happened.... To be honest, more than someone who would make my nose prettier, I desperately wanted someone who could just bring it back to a normal nose like everyone else's T_T
While going around for consultations, I cried a lot by myself, but Director Hwang Se-hwi at [Clinic A] was genuinely honest!! She clearly told me what could not be done and how far things could be done, and explained my nose condition in a very objective and easy-to-understand way. That really built trust, so I decided to go ahead with surgery haha
It has only been one month so I still have swelling and I am still in the middle of recovery, but the fact that my nose could change this much feels like a miracle, and I am so grateful T_T A nose that had become short and upturned because of contracture, to the point where it looked really awful... has been corrected with much better length, and the shape has settled beautifully! Especially the tip that had been leaning to one side from the front is completely gone, so I feel like crying every time I look in the mirror.... I am truly, truly satisfied with the result. I am so grateful to Director Hwang Se-hwi for restoring it to normal..
