Breast Surgery Reviews

From first consultation to aftercare for breast surgery

It has already been 1 week since I got the breast surgery I had been thinking about for a long time. I have always been very meticulous, so while looking for information before surgery, I checked many places, including well-known ones like Clinic A, Clinic B, Clinic C, and Clinic D, and I think I went to quite a few consultations after carefully comparing them. The more consultations I went to, the more confused I actually became, but in the end the place I chose and had surgery at was Sway Plastic Surgery, with Dr. Park Ji-hoon. *How I decided on the clinic (things I felt after consultations) When I went to consultations, the implants or sizes that were generally recommended were similar, but there were also places that would even skip fittings even when I said which implant I wanted. It was ironic, and some places only emphasized the implant they were pushing, or recommended sizes very broadly regardless of my body type. But Dr. Park Ji-hoon at Sway did not just look at breast size; he also considered my pelvis and overall body balance when evaluating my body type. I could feel from the consultation itself that he was thinking about lines that would suit my body. Actually, since Sway had not been open for very long, I was a little worried. But when I looked into Dr. Park Ji-hoon's background, I saw that he had built a solid career at large hospitals famous for breast surgery. I felt that their design sense and aesthetic might be somewhat consistent, and when I looked at surgical cases from those hospitals, there were many directions and designs that matched what I wanted, which actually made me trust him more. If you look at the timing of his medical license and his total years of experience, it is over 10 years, and seeing that the clinic opened relatively late, I thought, 'He must be someone who came out fully prepared.' After actually receiving the consultation, I became convinced that he had prepared carefully to open his practice because of his meticulous and perfectionist personality. The manager listened to my concerns with empathy, and the fact that Dr. Park himself explained the detailed parts related to surgery was also a big point of trust for me. *Right after surgery (~1 week) The implant was Mentor Xtra, and the incision was under the arm. These days, most places do this, but they applied Dermabond over dissolvable sutures, so there was no need to go back just to remove stitches, which I think is nice lol Another part I was very satisfied with was the aftercare after surgery. I worry a lot, so I asked all kinds of questions day and night, but both the manager and the doctor answered very kindly and quickly, which put me at ease. (Doctor, manager... sorry.....😅🙏🏻) Also, every time I went to the clinic, the nurses and staff who helped me change clothes or prepared things for me were all very kind. Whenever I asked about swelling, bruising, arm movement, and other concerns, they honestly and comfortably answered based on their own experience, which helped me relax and was a huge comfort. These small things seem to matter a lot to patients who are non-experts when it comes to major surgery. Honestly, it was not painless... lol I think I especially felt the pain more than others... After surgery, having a new chest there and the pressure from compressing the chest plus the upper band made it really hard, but after a few days I had some soreness in the shoulder muscles, which was a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, by day 2 and day 3 it noticeably improved, and now it is almost like nothing happened! (If you can just endure the day of surgery, you can survive! lol I just kept sleeping... lol) Now that a week has passed, I have recovered enough for daily life without much trouble. Since the gauze was removed, the swelling has also gone down much faster than I expected. I want the time to pass quickly so I can take off the upper band and sleep flat on my back... hehe *Current condition and satisfaction(?) review Of course, the implant is still settling in, so it feels full and firm right now, but they said it will soften over time, so I plan to keep my eyes half-closed and wait patiently. hehe I still cannot wear tight clothes that show the body because of the underwear and upper band, but even wearing a loose dress, I can see that the upper volume and overall look have changed, which makes me feel excited for no reason.. hehe When choosing a clinic, I think that beyond the basic conditions that obviously need to be met, it is better to prioritize 'how carefully they consider the overall balance of my body,' 'how well the doctor's sense of aesthetics matches the direction I want,' and 'aftercare such as whether direct communication with the doctor is possible after surgery.' I hope my record can be even a little helpful to those who are 고민중, and I will also post before-and-after photos!. Wishing for a successful gain in bust size🙏🏻 hehe
