I had 2 types of contour surgery, zygomatic bone and square jaw, and of course it was not cheap since I was touching two areas.
Still, because this was bone-cutting surgery, I could not compromise on safety, so I did a ridiculous amount of research on places with at least 20 years of experience and good aftercare before getting surgery.
When I went in for a consultation, they usually took a CT scan and explained in detail the location of the nerve line and the bone structure.
They also explained how the surgery would proceed and what the post-op care program would be like.
I skipped over those parts because they all seemed similar, and I was debating a lot between double fixation and triple fixation.
But if I wanted to reduce the worry about sagging skin, I thought triple fixation would still be better, so I got it done at a place that does triple fixation.
Also, I was told that during surgery, one guardian could watch the procedure through a webcam, so I asked my mom to help with that... T_T
On the day of surgery, my face was very swollen and the pain was really... wow. I could not even open my mouth and I was going crazy lol
Especially when I woke up from general anesthesia, I thought my throat was being ripped apart lolllllll
I was discharged the same day instead of staying in the hospital, and it was nice to be able to go home quickly.
I was especially the kind of person who desperately wanted to go home... After surgery, I drank a health drink called New Care, and from around day 3 I ate things like porridge or steamed egg, which I also managed through sheer willpower.
Around the one-month mark, I was cutting noodles like ramen into small pieces and eating them little by little, and I lost a lot of weight after contour surgery.
They say people lose weight because they cannot eat after contour surgery... lol
I also wore the compression band for the period the hospital told me to, and I still sometimes use it now when my face swells to help reduce the swelling.
It has already been two months since surgery, and every time I can see the face shape becoming more defined as the swelling gradually goes down, I think I really got my money's worth~ This summer I am going to wear my hair tied up confidently~~~~ kekeke
