It was not that my face was especially unattractive, but it felt wide and the contours were uneven, and I heard I looked masculine a lot. I hated that I looked even uglier in photos than in real life, and that I had a somehow fierce impression.
I really think it is hard to cover up when the face shape itself is the weakness rather than the features. I do not even know how to do makeup well, so things like shading were really impossible for me. After agonizing over it for years, I went ahead and had all 3 types of facial contouring done at DL Plastic Surgery.
Until the 1-month mark, I had a rough time because of swelling, but once I reached 3 months, the contour line really started to look beautiful!! Even at 1 month there was swelling, but I did not dislike that feeling. As the swelling went down further, I thought, is this the real look??
My cheekbones were the biggest issue, and my chin point had little presence compared with my facial proportions, so I advanced the chin point, and my square jaw was almost nonexistent, so only a slight refinement was done.
I think contour surgery looks much more dramatic in person than in photos. Of course, you can see it in photos too, but that sense of three-dimensionality really has to be seen in person T_T
Facial contour surgery was not an easy decision, but I really, really think I made the right choice!!
