I got natural adhesion + epicanthoplasty from Director Kim Hyodong at Hullyung Plastic Surgery. Up until now I’d been living without surgery because I was scared, but at some point, when I looked at photos my friends had taken of me, I started to dislike how small my eyes were and how wide the space between my eyes looked. So after thinking about it for months, I got a consultation at Hullyung Plastic Surgery through a friend’s recommendation. I’m extremely afraid of sausage eyes, and I was worried I’d get carried away and regret it, so I told the director exactly that during the consultation. I said I absolutely didn’t want sausage eyes, and I didn’t want a trendy design that would look out of place either. I wanted something so natural that anyone would think it was my original eyes, and wouldn’t know I’d had surgery unless they looked closely. Then the director focused on making it blend naturally as if it had always been my eyes, and shaped the line that way, and I was extremely satisfied with the result. Seeing how well it suited me, I ended up getting a little greedy without realizing it. So I asked if it would be okay to raise it just a little more, and the director firmly said that if we did that, there was a high chance of sausage eyes, which gave me confidence in him. Before surgery, my eyes looked very fierce and sharp. Even though I didn’t have that much eyelid fat, the extra upper eyelid skin kept me from feeling like my eyes were clearly open. Looking at the photos from one month and two months after surgery, my eyes look much bigger, and the fierce, cold impression has softened a lot, giving me a gentler look. Since I had an in-line procedure, it really looks natural. And I didn’t realize this before surgery, but I found out my eyelashes were actually this long. Because the eyelashes that had been slightly hidden by the upper eyelid skin became visible, it felt different from my old eyes even without makeup. I was also worried about scarring and side effects from the epicanthoplasty, but the scars are getting lighter over time, and I haven’t felt any other side effects so far, so I’m very satisfied. Everyone among my friends, family, and acquaintances says it looks much better after surgery, so I even regret not doing it earlier. Still, I’m glad I had the surgery now. These days I’m really satisfied with daily life, and without even realizing it I look in the mirror more and take photos more confidently.
