Two years ago, after nose surgery at a plastic surgery clinic in Sinsa-dong, I suffered terribly from all kinds of complications like a crooked nose, deviated septum, sinusitis, and nasal congestion. I wanted revision surgery, so I looked into many places and consulted with various doctors, including plastic surgeons, ENT doctors, and nose-specialty doctors, but they all seemed like quacks. In the end I looked into a university hospital. For the record, this is not an ad. Why would a top-3 university hospital in Korea, whose name everyone knows, do advertising as if it has nothing else to do? Even without cosmetic surgery, people are already lining up there. I had surgery at the university hospital, and it is rumored to have the best expert in that field. The surgery was booked 1 year and 6 months out, and even the hospital consultation itself took 4 months. The surgery was under general anesthesia. For reference, plastic surgery clinics without enough skill cannot even dream of general anesthesia. After surgery I stayed in the hospital for 3 days. Every morning the professors check on the patients' progress, and if needed they keep seeing you. And if you're in a lot of pain, the nurses give all kinds of treatment like painkillers and fever reducers. For reference, they used autologous costal cartilage. Now my nose has returned to normal after surgery. I'm not that satisfied with the shape, but I'm very satisfied now. And you have to keep coming in for follow-up visits after surgery. If there's any problem with the nose, you can go to the hospital emergency room.
