I have a chronic condition, so I went to the hospital I usually visit for my regular checkup, and all the test results, including blood tests, were normal, but my attending doctor said he would never write a referral letter for anything other than a university hospital or a private hospital. I had already set a removal date and paid the deposit, but in the end I canceled. My doctor is an elderly professor, but I kept wondering if that’s why he’s being so conservative.. I even thought about just ignoring it and going ahead with the surgery, but then I got scared again thinking that if anything happens, I would have to take full responsibility, so in the end I canceled. I heard that even getting an appointment at a university hospital can take months just for a consultation, and when I thought about how I’d been expecting to have it done as early as July, only for it to be pushed back indefinitely like this, I feel like I’m going to lose it...
