Eye Surgery Reviews

My review of revision double eyelid surgery!!!♡

Hello!!! I had revision eye surgery this time, so I'm leaving a review on this community!!♡ First, 12 years ago I had double eyelid surgery with the buried-suture method + epicanthoplasty. I tend to do heavy eye makeup, so I was pretty happy with the outer line, but the double eyelid on my left eye gradually loosened and disappeared... In particular, the inner corner of the eye had completely unfolded, and the outer part was also blurry, so on days when I had to put a lot of effort into my makeup, I would apply double-eyelid glue thinly to the outer part and press it in. It was annoying, and when the adhesive strength of the glue weakened, my eyes also felt kind of protruded... More than anything, the biggest stress was that it looked like I had uneven eyes... I decided on revision surgery without any especially big worries, and I compared a lot of things broadly, like photo reviews from app users, Naver searches, and SNS promotional posts!! First, I decided in my mind to do it with natural adhesion, and among hospitals that offer natural adhesion, I think I weighed the hospital's recognition, the director's reputation, and the price!! I hoped there would be no more revision surgery after this... So I picked the places to visit and went for consultations! The three places I consulted all said natural adhesion would be more than possible, and everyone was kind! But I also felt that my own eyes were not very easy to open with strength, so I was considering ptosis correction as well. It definitely costs about twice as much, but I was mentally prepared for that much. At one place I consulted, I had a bit of a power struggle(?) with the manager over the canthoplasty... So I came to the next hospital for consultation with a feeling that was both somewhat persuaded and somewhat burdened, and here the manager told me there was really no need to do it... that it was my choice anyway and totally up to me, so they did not strongly recommend it, which opened my mind.. Actually, if you do revision canthoplasty too, they charge double for the canthoplasty cost, right.. On top of that, the double eyelid surgery itself was already expensive because it was a revision, and I had said I wanted ptosis correction as well... Then the director came in and said that natural adhesion plus ptosis correction would be enough, and that canthoplasty was unnecessary, and that the line I was aiming for would come out well just as I wanted, so they were confident. I got a refund of the 200,000 won deposit from the hospital I had booked before and set my date here! I had actually wanted the same line I had before, so in fact the consultation itself was not that difficult, but the issue with canthoplasty and that power struggle was really exhausting They also gave another consultation on the surgery day, and even then they smiled and said it would absolutely come out like this, so I was really grateful, and I went into surgery without much worry! Maybe because it was not a major surgery, I did not feel that nervous!! When I came out after the anesthesia wore off, there was absolutely no pain, and I was discharged only feeling that my eyes were swollen. Honestly, there was nothing especially uncomfortable, just the annoyance of not being able to wash! Since my eyes did not close all the way, they got dry, so I kept putting in artificial tears and also applied the prescribed ointment! With the compresses, the day went by quickly! The stitches were removed a week after surgery!! I had only seen good reviews saying that with natural adhesion, swelling goes down quickly and the line settles naturally, so from that day on I had huge expectations...♡ But as the reviews said, that was exactly right... The swelling really went down visibly from the moment the stitches were removed. Honestly, from the third week onward the swelling stopped going down, and I thought I would be happy if it stayed like this forever... From my experience, I think daily life would be completely fine after about two weeks! Still, it was disappointing that I could not do eye makeup for a whole month... Once it had been one month since surgery, I could finally start makeup again!! People around me also praised me a lot for how well the revision turned out, so I am truly happy that it seems like a success I am 200% satisfied that I had it done with natural adhesion!! Thanks to the ptosis correction, I do not have to keep forcing my eyes open, and my expression seems softer too, so not a single bit of money felt wasted!! Actually I was more worried about whether the ptosis correction would be worth the money, but I have no regrets at all!! I am glad that all the time I spent searching, reading reviews, and worrying as if this would really be my last revision surgery was not in vain I had been emotionally worn out by worrying about revision surgery all this time, but now I can comfortably do beautiful makeup with the line I like!!♡ I am absolutely not recommending or pressuring anyone into cosmetic surgery with this review, but I also wanted to leave a record of my long journey of reading reviews, choosing a hospital, having surgery, and recovering. And although revision eye surgery is definitely expensive, it seems like the well-known hospitals almost always run events through apps, so I wanted to let you know in case that helps!! That was my review of the long and successful journey of my eye revision surgery!!♡ Thank you for reading♡♡ I hope your double eyelid surgery turns out even better than mine!!!♡
