Nose Surgery Reviews

Honest review of nose revision surgery (escaped the bulbous nose)

I’m at the 6-month mark after nose revision, so I’m finally leaving a review haha. Time really flies... Even at the one-month mark I was checking the mirror every day to see whether the swelling had gone down, and half a year is already gone haha. I had always felt something was still lacking even after my first surgery. The tip was blunt, I still had a bulbous-nose look, and the columella was tucked in a bit, so seeing the nostrils from the front was the most stressful thing When taking photos, I kept looking for angles, and especially front-facing photos were something I really avoided haha. So when I started looking into revision surgery, I visited a lot of consultations very carefully, and when I went to the Sungsim consultation, the director pointed out almost all the things I had been worrying about as soon as he looked at my nose, which surprised me a bit haha. This time, for the revision, I used silicone and autologous costal cartilage, and I had bulbous-nose correction, short-nose correction, columella lowering, and alar reduction done together! Honestly, I was extremely worried because it was a revision surgery What if there’s a step where the silicone is placed? What if only the tip looks too prominent? What if I’m just messing with it again... I think I kept having these thoughts right up until the day before surgery haha. But now all of that worry is gone. I wanted my bridge a bit higher, but I didn’t want the tip to be raised too much either, you know? The line now flows smoothly from bridge to tip, and the tip is not too sharp or burdensome, so I’m satisfied! And the best part is the front view haha. Before, my nose looked spread out and the bulbous-nose feel was strong, but now that the tip has been refined, the whole nose looks much cleaner. The columella came down too, so the nostrils that used to show have improved a lot, and the feeling that it looked short has also been corrected! Before, whenever I took photos I would always edit them first, but these days I just use the default camera haha. Of course, out of habit I still check the side view first... ^^ I had so many worries because it was a revision surgery, but now, 6 months later, I’m pretty satisfied! If anyone like me is thinking about revision for a bulbous nose or a short nose, just use this as a reference haha.
