About 14 years ago, I had rhinoplasty using silicone and ear cartilage, and at first I lived without any major complaints.
But after about 10 years, I started to feel like the tip of my nose was gradually lifting. At first it was not severe, so I left it alone, but starting last year it looked like the tip had clearly turned up, so I decided to have revision surgery.
Because this was a revision surgery for contracture, safety was more important than chasing a certain shape. So when I was looking for a hospital, I excluded places that focused on very sharp or flashy nasal tips, and I mainly consulted places that made the nose look natural, almost like my own nose, and that had a single primary surgeon.
The reason I decided on this clinic was that, during the consultation, the doctor listened carefully to the parts I wanted, and instead of simply raising the height no matter what, they looked at how much height would suit my face. In particular, I liked that they focused on the upturned tip that had been bothering me the most.
I chose surgery after visiting all the places I had booked consultations with and thinking about it a lot, and I also felt more trust because the director advised me to visit several places and think carefully before deciding.
The lifted nasal tip came down naturally, and the height of the bridge and tip is not too much, just around the level I wanted, so I am satisfied! Before, because of the contracture, my nostrils showed a lot and I was concerned, but now that has improved a lot, and the overall mood of my face has gotten better too, so I really think I made the right choice to have the surgery 😊 For anyone considering revision surgery because of contracture, safety is probably the top priority, just like it was for me, so I recommend getting consultations from several places before deciding :)
