I saw posts saying there was a lot of waiting too, but somehow my timing lined up well and I got the consultation quickly. The hospital was full of people, and the age range was so diverse it felt like I’d gone to a university hospital, which was interesting. Once I got there, I could really feel why it’s famous. I had already gone around to two other places before 1mm, and the coordinator consultation here was better than at those two places. It was clearly more professional, and I liked that there was no upselling. I was a little nervous before going into the surgeon consultation, but the fact that they were straightforward was actually better. They weren’t especially warm, but they didn’t suggest any other procedures at all and recommended opening the line and just resetting the crease with incisional surgery. It’s hard to put into words, but after actually getting the consultation, I really felt like they had a lot of surgical experience. They clearly said it wasn’t an easy case for crease design, but also said they could match the semi-out crease I wanted as much as possible, and the fact that they explained it while looking at the position of my brow bone made me trust them. Overall, this was a place that was much better in person for a surgeon consultation than it seemed from reading about it.
