I always just lurked, but my stress level from my double chin hit max and I finally went with lipo, so I came to share my review. Honestly, before the surgery I spent over a million won on contour injections and InMode, basically throwing money on the street while wondering: is my double chin a bone problem? Why won't it go away even when I lose weight? I was almost at the point of losing my mind? But the conclusion is.... I should have gone straight to lipo from the beginning;; I want to smack myself on the head for wasting so much money and time. Before surgery, even if my weight started with a 4, the moment I lowered my head a little I had what looked like a double-double chin, almost pelican level. Every time friends took side-profile shots, I would go dead serious after seeing the chin fat sticking out and make them delete all the photos, and trimming my chin with Photoshop was part of my daily routine. That was me lol Right after surgery, the compression garment was so tight that my face didn't even look like my face anymore lol Kind of like Mr. SquarePants's uncle?? The pain wasn't as bad as I thought, just felt like really severe muscle soreness under the chin. Until day 3 the swelling was at its peak, so I kept wondering if this would really go down, and I was so scared I kept searching posts from this community by myself. As the fibrotic swelling started to rise and harden slowly, I diligently used warm compresses and massaged it, and after week 3 the line started to show like crazy. Now even if I lower my head, there's not a single layer of flesh overlapping like before, and in side profile the line from under the ears to the chin tip just drops cleanly like a cut with a knife. Everyone I meet keeps asking why I lost so much weight, saying my face is disappearing, and I'm secretly proud lol (that I had lipo was a secret) + When choosing a clinic, please don't just go to a place that says it can suck out a lot of volume. Find a doctor who can clean up the line well to match your face shape,,, If you get a hollow under the chin, that is stressful too. For aftercare, even if the compression garment is annoying, do it diligently as the hospital says, and when the fibrotic swelling comes, you have to manage it properly rather than just leaving it alone if you want a pretty line! Fibrotic swelling is normal. Don't panic at that point, but management is absolutely essential!!!! I've heard there are places now where the head doctor does the consultation but someone else does the surgery, so definitely ask about that,, and please go to a doctor who specializes only in facial liposuction,,,
