Hello. For more than 2 years, I had been thinking for a very long time about whether to get eye surgery and, if I did, where I should do it. During that time, I carefully read reviews of countless hospitals online and visited many places in person, setting my own standards along the way. In the end, I want to share in detail why I decided to have surgery with Dr. Kim Se-young at The K Plus Plastic Surgery Clinic and how the consultation went!!
1. The director's insight that ended 2 years of deliberation What was hardest during all those consultations was feeling like no one could understand my eyes accurately. But as soon as I sat down here, the director immediately pointed out that my eyes are protruding. He understood very well that if a protruding eye is given an overly thick line, the eyes can look intense and the impression can become too strong. So instead of forcing something flashy, he looked for the most natural and balanced line for my face, which made me trust him a lot!!
2. Honest consultation without unnecessary treatment Before the consultation, I had even wondered whether I should do nose surgery at the same time, so I asked about it. But the director advised me not to rush and said that in my current eye condition, it would be better to first do the eye surgery properly and decide about the overall balance later. Rather than recommending surgery unconditionally, he gave realistic advice while considering my whole face, and that made me feel sure I could trust them with my case haha.
3. Consultation process and surgical plan The consultation was by reservation, so there was no waiting time and everything was very comfortable. The coordinator was also very kind, and I liked that the atmosphere during the director consultation made it easy to ask as many questions as I wanted. The hospital interior was also clean and comfortable!
In the end, I decided to combine partial incision with fat removal, set at 160 and 80 respectively. They explained that this was the best solution considering the structural characteristics of my eyes.
4. Overall impression I am really someone who worried a lot about double eyelid surgery. In fact, I think everyone who cares about their own face feels the same way. I had consultations at multiple hospitals, and I even visited this one twice, so my standards were quite strict, but in the end I feel relieved that I found a director who makes things look the most natural. I don't think the time I spent searching in person for 2 years was wasted.
