My eyes were originally small and looked tired, and that was the biggest stress for me Especially because I have a lot of eyelid fat, even when I drew eyeliner, it all got swallowed up, and even when I put on eyeshadow, it did not show lol. There was hardly any difference between a day when I did my makeup carefully and a day when I did not, and in photos my eyes always looked sleepy.. I even tried double eyelid tape for a really long time, but maybe I am just bad at it or maybe it was because of the eyelid fat, because it never turned out pretty Even when I somehow got a line, it would loosen after a few hours, end up as double or triple folds, and when I closed my eyes it showed a lot So I just kept thinking that someday I should do it, and it seems like I only started seriously looking into clinics from last year..? (But I did know my eyes were not an easy case.) I had some eyelid fat and my skin was not particularly thin, so I was really worried that if I did it carelessly I would end up with sausage eyes..... After reading reviews, I saw a lot of people saying eyes with a lot of eyelid fat take a long time to reduce swelling, and there were also comments saying bad fat removal can make the eyes uneven, or that excessive eye correction can make the eyes look too wide open, so choosing a clinic was the hardest part. I visited a few places for consultations, and the one that stayed in my mind the most was [Clinic A] because the director looked at my eyes for quite a long time. Some places only talked about the line and ended there, but here they explained why my eyes looked tired in the first place. They talked while looking at the eyelid fat, the strength of my eye opening, skin thickness, and so on, so I felt a bit more trust. I said I wanted a natural in-out line, and the director also said that rather than a flashy style, it would suit me better to just improve the tired look in my current image, so we decided on that. The surgery was incision plus eye correction But.. lol on the day of surgery I was not as scared as I expected, but when I got home and looked in the mirror I was shocked lol My eyes were really swollen and the line looked way too high. I had clearly asked for something natural during the consultation, so I wondered why it looked so high The third day seemed to be the worst, and I had a pulling feeling even when closing my eyes. Even after the stitches were removed after a week, there was still a lot of swelling, and the line was puffy, so I kept searching reviews every day lol Even at the one-month mark, honestly, I was more worried than satisfied. My friends said it looked okay, but to my eyes it still looked too strong The hospital also said that people with a lot of eyelid fat usually take a long time to recover, and every time I went for a follow-up they said I still had to wait, so I just endured it. But..? Then after two months and as I got close to three months, it really changed. The puffy feeling went down a lot and the line became much cleaner. More than anything, it became easier to open my eyes. Before, in photos, my pupils were half covered, so I used to always tilt my chin up when taking pictures, but now even when I look straight ahead my eyes look clear. At work, more people said my impression looked sharper than asked where I had it done. Personally, the part I am most satisfied with is makeup. Before, even if I drew eyeliner, it all got buried and eye makeup did not take, but now even a thin application looks much cleaner Even now, when I look at photos taken right after the surgery, I wonder why I was so worried.. Of course, the early swelling period was really stressful, but I think it is true that people with a lot of eyelid fat recover more slowly. Now even when I close my eyes, the scar is not especially visible, and it has become clear without being overly flashy, just as I wanted, so I am happy with it
