My nose was originally upturned and short. I was looking into ways to correct that, and I found a place that does autologous dermis, so I went there and booked right away.
They corrected my upturned nose with ear cartilage and built a columellar strut at the nasal tip with ear cartilage. To prevent the cartilage from showing through on top, they placed one thin layer of autologous dermis. At first, the columella came down too much, so it looked like a hump nose and an arrow-shaped nose.
It stayed like that until the 4th year, but it seems like both the cartilage and dermis keep getting absorbed. Now it has just become similar to my original nose.
However, I still feel like the columella is too low,
and because of the upturned-nose correction and the columellar strut, I think my originally deviated base is showing very severely, so I’m considering revision surgery.
