I had been interested in my nose since middle school, and because I’m a very cautious person, I always just worried about it and felt stressed. In my late 20s, I finally went ahead with the nose surgery I had been thinking about for so long. I became interested because Seoyeon’s nose shape after surgery on Instagram was so beautiful, and after looking into it, I found out she had it done at RYU Plastic Surgery! The director there is so skilled at making difficult noses look beautiful, so I thought, “This is it!” and went in for a consultation.
The nose shape I wanted was subtle, straight, and suited my face, and Director Kim Hyun-ju had the same idea as me, which I really liked. She also explained things further with photos in an easy-to-understand way, so there was no difficulty at all. Since this was my first nose surgery, the bridge was done with silicone and the support structure with autologous costal cartilage. In addition, I also had two rhinitis procedures at the same time to improve my rhinitis.
Because this was my first facial surgery, and when I watched recovery videos on YouTube people seemed to swell a lot and have a hard time, I thought, “Oh, I’m going through that process too,” but after the surgery, I came out and the swelling was... surprisingly minimal, which was such a shock. The swelling also went down really well as time passed, and above all, the nose is the center of the face, so it’s extremely important. It became straighter + not overly high + a nose that fits my face perfectly, so I’m so happy haha!!!!!
