1 Year and 9 Months After Zygoma Reduction, for My Own Record

**It would be nice if you read the previous review first**Hello everyone. At 5 months post-op, I wrote that all the swelling from before was nothing, and now I will laugh at myself a little again.5-month swelling was all gone?? lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lolNow that I think about it, that was so ridiculousI really have not been thinking about surgery or worrying about my appearance these days. So this review came a bit late, and I have not been quick at checking comments either~Since 1 year and 9 months have passed, I think it is fair to say all swelling from surgery is gone now. And if people start looking better after 1 year, then maybe now is my best time? That thought comes to mind.As mentioned in my previous posts, I think sagging is something I have to accept as a task to deal with (for now).It has been a while since I came back to this community and read my old posts, and I really went through appearance anxiety countless times during that year of recovery. For every little thing, I kept wondering if it was a complication or if it would never get better. I think it was because I wanted to look pretty quickly. For those who are about to have surgery, I want to say that zygoma reduction is absolutely not a surgery where you look dramatically prettier one month after surgery, and for those who have just had it, I keep bringing this up because I want to say that it is a surgery that needs months of recovery and swelling reduction.I will go over a few things I feel at this point and show you my face line after the swelling went down.1. Since the horizontal width got smaller, I can feel that the vertical length got longer. My features feel a bit more distinct (a feeling!!!!). I mentioned this in my previous post too, but I definitely feel like my face got longer vertically. But it is not bothersome at all, and if anything I think, ah, the width really did get smaller. Before surgery, my eyes were so big that on my pre-op face you could almost only see my eyes. Now, if I wear contacts, it really feels like my eyes are going to spill out lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lolI used to think my nose was not big and was actually on the low side, so I had fillers. Even after surgery I have not gotten fillers, but it seems to be maintained because of leftover filler inside. But as my facial area got smaller, my nose looks higher or bigger compared to before (personally, I feel this in photos. Others do not notice). I like it.2. Nasolabial foldsIf I think objectively, they were deeper before surgery. After surgery, there were times when I looked saggy because of aging or weight gain. = Losing weight has made it a little better.**I am sure the scar tissue above the gums inside my mouth is still bunched up, so I think it affects the nasolabial folds.**After surgery, I was told to relax it by moving through A-E-I-O-U and loosen the scar tissue inside, but that scar tissue is still firmly bunched up.Everyday life is not affected at all, so these days I actually do not try to loosen it, but recently when I smiled a little, I noticed my mouth looked really ugly and like a forced smile, and I was shocked when I thought about it, and I realized the mouth had become awkward because of the scar tissue.(This is probably why I came back to this community after a long time to look for information about scar tissue because it has been bothering me.)- Summary: At 1 year and 9 months, I do not think the sagging is due to surgery. I think the scar tissue inside my mouth affects the nasolabial folds.3. A case that recovered well without aftereffects or complicationsI am truly grateful that I can live daily life without any issues, and these days I even forget that I had cosmetic surgery at all.Zygoma surgery leaves no visible scar and nothing obvious on the outside, so nobody can really tell.4. Do I think about other cosmetic procedures?4-1 Lower blepharoplastyI am seriously considering it. Since middle school I have been bothered by dark circles, and I also have a lot of fat under the eyes, so it keeps crossing my mind. But I still do not know. Maybe I will do it when I get older?4-2 LiftingSince I am in my mid-30s, I am considering lifting procedures because I worry not only about nasolabial folds but also about the jawline and skin sagging.4-3 Back-of-head surgeryI keep saying I want it, but I probably will not do it.+ Thanks to the masseter Botox I got at the time of surgery, I end up using the forehead muscles when chewing lol The temple muscles have developed and it surprises me every time lol lol lol lol lol I added this because it is a funny pointEveryone, during the recovery period after surgery you will probably have many thoughts and a lot of worry and concern, but unless it is something you personally think needs immediate action, I hope you can try to endure for about a year and keep your mind steady..I hope my past posts are helpful, and I will come back again when it feels like my face has sagged and I need lifting again.++ There are almost no bare-face before photos now because I changed phones, so I do not know whether there is an obvious before photo in my old posts, please keep that in mindI brought the most recent after photos.
