Nose Surgery Reviews

A surgery diary for a young man with a hump nose

Do men use this community a lot too? Ever since I was young, my nose bridge was not completely flat, but I had a slightly short nose with a small hump and a low tip, so overall my face felt like it lacked center balance. Even though I am a man, I would often hear that I look a little young and kind of childish, and that was surprisingly stressful. (To put it positively, it is a youthful impression, but honestly, because my nose is short, my face overall feels like it lacks a clear center.) Especially after I decided on my career path in high school and entered the aviation department, I had to pay even more attention to my image. Every time I took a front or side photo, my nose looked disappointing, and when I saw senior flight attendants or classmates who had already been hired, their noses were really straight and their T-zone looked sharp, giving off a more reliable feeling. I wanted a soft but masculine image, so I decided to get nose surgery.. I had already looked into hospitals through recommendations from seniors, and when one person had surgery, a bunch of people would kind of follow and go in for consultations, so it was almost like our department had a partnership with them lol The consultation felt like a master doctor was reading my face one proportion at a time and explaining in detail what height and what line would suit me, like I had gone to a very accurate fortune teller lol They clearly pointed out exactly what I was worried about and how to make the image I wanted come out, which really reassured me. I went home to think about it after the consultation and booked right away. I had surgery using silicone and donated rib cartilage, and for about 3 days right after surgery it was hard to breathe through my nose and I felt stuffy, but T_T it was better than I expected, and the pain and swelling seemed to go down quickly. There is still some residual swelling now, but I am so satisfied with the result. What I like most is the side view: as the hump was smoothed out, the nose bridge line became really clean, and it gives a soft yet masculine impression so I am extremely satisfied. From the front, the T-zone became much clearer, giving my face a more defined center, and overall I think I look much more masculine and refined. Before surgery, taking photos felt burdensome and I used so much retouching on ID photos that I looked kind of... like someone whose surgery failed, but now it looks so clear even without editing and I love it! And the reaction from people around me has been great too. My classmates keep asking where I had it done, saying it turned out so well, and even my professors complimented me, saying that my surgery came out well lol Thanks to that, my confidence about my appearance has gone up a lot, and I want to work even harder toward second-half recruitment. If you are a guy worrying about a short nose or hump nose, go get a consultation at the place I went! This was my first nose surgery, and the result exceeded my expectations, so I am doing really well!
