Nose Surgery Reviews

1 month after autologous costal cartilage nose surgery! It feels like it has settled in now!!

Hello!! It has already been one month since I had nose surgery with autologous costal cartilage at [Clinic A], so I came to leave a progress update! First, the yellow bruising around my eyes completely disappeared after week 3! Now I can go out bare-faced and nobody would notice haha And as the big swelling around the glabella went down a lot, the line the doctor designed started to show properly, which makes me so happy!! Before surgery, my biggest concern was that the tip of my nose was blunt and the bridge was wide, so my overall impression looked rough, but thanks to the osteotomy, the bridge line is definitely visibly slimmer than before! The tip line I checked after removing the splint also looks much more refined and more sharply defined now that the swelling has gone down more, so I am glad haha During the consultation, I showed the doctor photos of Shin Se-kyung, whom I really like, and said I wanted a sleek yet natural straight line that was refined without being overdone, and it seems to be settling naturally exactly into the silhouette I wanted T_T The pain in the autologous rib area that I was worried about is now at a level where I am much less sensitive in daily life, and the heavy, stiff feeling at the tip of my nose is also gradually softening as the tissue recovers. Doctor Choo Seong-cheol said he would carefully take care of any visibility issues by also using autologous rib cartilage membrane at the tip of the nose, and maybe because of that, the line seems to be holding up firmly and smoothly haha At 2 weeks I still felt a bit uneasy even after removing the splint, but now that a month has passed and the major swelling has gone down, I really think I made the right choice to go with a strong structure using autologous rib cartilage all at once haha Since it is a one-doctor clinic, the doctor personally checks the progress carefully, so I felt reassured until the end. There is still some minor swelling to go, but I am looking forward to seeing how much slimmer it will get as time passes haha I hope this review helps even a little to those of you who are worried about a wide bridge or a bulbous nose!
