Nose Surgery Reviews

A Nose Job Took Away Quite a Bit of My Older-Looking Vibe (Functional + Cosmetic Nose Surgery Review)

I already brought unfiltered photos of my face last time, so I didn't bother bringing them again. If you're curious, go read the review I posted before. My original nose was low and long, so my midface insecurity was severe, but after lifting the nose tip while preserving the columella, my face shape also looks much more balanced (before surgery, people often teased me for having a lion-like nose...). And I did not get surgery just because I didn't like my looks; my major is one that gets seen a lot in front of people, and there are many pretty people in the department, so comparing myself was unavoidable. It's been almost a year since surgery, so if I talk about the good and inconvenient points over that time: first, the good point is that my image changed dramatically and became much more refined with just my nose alone. Honestly, it exceeded my expectations, and I understood why people say the nose is the most important part of the face. The second thing is that I also had functional nose surgery, so breathing became much easier. I stopped breathing through my mouth, and as a result my lips no longer get chapped like before. When I was going around for consultations, I wasn't really thinking about functional nose surgery (I'd lived that way my whole life, so I didn't even know it was uncomfortable), but every clinic I visited said I should do functional correction too. So I thought it wasn't over-recommendation, but rather a nose that really needed it, and I had it done together while getting the cosmetic surgery. The inconvenient part was that even though I had functional surgery to make breathing easier, while I was wearing the splint I simply could not breathe. I could only breathe through my mouth, so I often woke up at dawn with a sore throat and drank water a lot. That meant I also had to go to the bathroom a lot, and that was honestly annoying... T_T But once the splint came off, I felt like I could live again, and the stuffiness gradually improved too, so except when I catch a cold, it doesn't get blocked anymore. The silicone was originally going to be 4 mm, but I ended up getting 5 mm, and I think it came out with a nice, natural feeling, so I'm satisfied. The bulbous nose also disappeared, so I'm satisfied with that too. These are things I wrote before as well, but I think a review from the 1-year mark would feel more trustworthy than one from the 6-month mark, so I'm writing this because I think the earlier and current results have been maintained similarly. The shape and line haven't become strange, and my thoughts about the surgery itself haven't really changed either.
