It has been 4 months since I had my entire nose removed. (Please refer to my previous post for the surgical method and why I decided to do it.) I am still being careful not to touch the tip of my nose or blow my nose. The bridge of my nose still feels a little tight when I yawn. When I lie on my side, I briefly feel my nose being pulled to one side at first. I still try my best to sleep on my back, but I think I turn my head to the side without realizing it. I only drink alcohol now maybe once every 2 to 3 weeks, usually just a glass of wine. The shape does not seem very different from the early stage after removal surgery, but now that the swelling has gone down, it looks more natural and less bulky than before. The dip on the bridge has become a little smoother and less noticeable, maybe because the bruising has gone down. But it is still hard to say that much tissue has really filled back in. The scar on the columella is honestly barely visible. I had a new incision in the middle of the columella, and that one really does not show at all. If anything, it almost looks like the earlier surgery scar is more visible, because that time the incision was made all the way at the end (refer to the second photo). There are cases where problems show up after 6 to 7 months, so I am still being as careful as possible!! If it settles like this without any problems, I am really very satisfied with the removal. I was also extremely worried and got a bad stomach bug and a full-body ache two weeks before surgery, but for everyone scheduled for removal surgery, do not worry too much, take care of your body and your mental state, and I hope everyone’s surgery goes well!!

Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoJun 6 It seems like I got a depression after removal

Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoJun 6 Is the swelling usually this bad after removal?
It wasn't this swollen after my first surgery, but this time it's swollen to the point that I can barely open my eyes. My whole body is puffy too;;; Maybe it's because of the medicine?.. I also got red and blue bruising on my eyelids
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoJun 6 Should I go elsewhere for removal?
