For noses, you really have to go to a place where your desired shape, the director's aesthetic sense, and the before-and-after photos all line up. Otherwise, you end up unhappy with the shape.
Because my first surgery was already done without an implant, I had no functional side effects. But I decided on revision surgery because I was unhappy with the shape of the tip.
This place was also one of the true final candidates for revision surgery. The consultation fee was about 50,000 won. The consultation schedule was packed, so I had to wait more than 2 months.
For the consultation, they took a CT scan first, then I spoke with the manager while the doctor was analyzing my CT. After the manager's consultation, I went to the doctor's office.
As expected, the more famous they are for non-implant surgery, the more conservative their opinion seems to be.
They said they would reuse the septal cartilage and ear cartilage used in my first surgery, make the nose a bit shorter, slightly overcorrect the nasolabial angle, and release the pinched tip so that using the fascia behind the ear would make the front view look fuller.
Even while saying all that, they were very honest and clearly said there would not be the 'big change' I wanted. In fact, that honesty made me feel more at ease (maybe because I'm such a skeptical person). I had osteotomy in my first surgery, and they looked at the CT osteotomy lines and explained, point by point, the reasons they thought that method had been used. It was detailed and easy to understand.
After the doctor's consultation, I discussed the price with the manager, and it was much higher than I expected... (No big change, reusing the existing materials + adding autologous dermis + focusing on tip correction, but the price felt very steep)
The manager did not pressure me to book, and was kind.
Leaving revision surgery aside, I just keep regretting that if I had done my first surgery here... that thought keeps looping in my head..큐
