Review of a community clinic

I’m leaving this self-paid review because I wish only people like this would become plastic surgeons. The sense of duty and the aesthetic sense were both satisfying, and the scar from the thread lift on my nose from another clinic is gone too. I used to think my nostrils were circles, but now that my nose bridge looks more defined, the nostrils have changed into an oval shape and I’m honestly moved. 1. Criteria for choosing a clinic I looked through almost all the review photos from top-tier plastic surgery clinics (the same way I choose restaurants by photos first; photos are much more intuitive than text-heavy posts, so the style is clear), and I visited about 10 consultations. Since the nose is at the center of the face, I was extra picky. In the end, I chose this place because the review photos matched my ideal look. My ideal is a youthful yet natural-beauty vibe like Kim Min-hee or Go Hyun-jung. Desired conditions: CCTV viewing available, one-on-one nose specialist, not a factory-style clinic. Based on these criteria, I even went to consult at places known for operating on celebrities, but I didn’t get the feedback I wanted... Since my face is on the long side, I was told that raising the nose can make the midface look longer, which is a side effect I didn’t want. So I chose a clinic without that issue. I wanted to avoid a nose that looks pointed or artificial, and instead chose the path of becoming naturally prettier. Surgery method Because it was a no-implant rhinoplasty, they used the septum cartilage (they said there wasn’t much) and ear cartilage, and performed bulbous nose correction and nasolabial angle correction. Since my face is long, they did not project the tip farther forward. Pain and recovery What I worried about most in reviews were people saying their ear hurt or that breathing was difficult, but my nose itself didn’t hurt. It felt like they had strategically operated only on the necessary parts;; my nose hurt only on the first day, and by the second day, after taking out the packing, it was fine. I told a nurse friend and she said that meant the surgery was really well done. Before and after surgery, the doctor looked different lol. I’m glad I trusted them with it. Even the gown made them look different. I rested well for about two days, and since I have terrible stamina I was worried, but from day 3 onward I went about daily life as usual. Most important: the shape It doesn’t look like a surgical nose at all, and it changed into the neat, refined nose I wanted. My original long face was a complex, so the surgery couldn’t make my nose look longer, and I also have a long philtrum, so if the nose were lifted too short it would make the philtrum look even longer, which was a catch-22. But they set it at the right position and made it nicely defined. My originally awful, ugly nose with a bulbous tip changed into a compact, delicate shape, and I really love it. Plastic surgery is not just fixing a face; if done well, it feels like the heart gets healed too T_T I’d always been self-conscious about my bulbous nose, and now I think I worried needlessly. I even wish I had done it when I was younger. Aftercare There was almost no pain, so no real issues, but I noticed a red bruise near the front of my ear and contacted them around 8 or 9 p.m. They replied even though it was night, which reassured me, and I was able to get care without stress. The manager and the front desk staff were all very gentle, and while I was waiting for surgery, a coordinator? brought over a heater and said I must be cold... Overall, the experience was good.
