Eye Surgery Reviews

Incheon review on this community

Worst clinic. I already had double eyelids, but when one eye swelled up from time to time, they would disappear or become a double fold, so I decided to get double-eyelid surgery. After consultations with two directors, I chose Director Kim Seon-ok. On the day of the surgery, I paid an extra 100,000 won for sleep anesthesia. Result = the fixation for the double eyelid was too strong, and a suture stuck out and scratched my cornea. After waking from anesthesia, I was on my way home but was in so much pain that I came back right away, only to find they were already operating on someone else lolllll They kept doing surgery lol After a while they came out, flipped my eyelid over, and said a suture had come out, as expected lol Instead of fixing it properly, they just told me to endure it and sent me away lol But it really hurt so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so much.. For several days I could not open my eyes properly and ended up with a legendary corneal injury. But then there was another problem? The double-eyelid correction was insanely excessive. It was originally supposed to follow my existing double-eyelid line, so there was no need to overcorrect it. It was not about creating something from nothing, really just lightly reinforcing the line.. but it was pinched too much, and because of the swelling the mucous membrane was severely everted lolllll A week later I went back, and after looking at it they said they would lower only the left side. The left side was the one with the stronger double eyelid line, the side that would never loosen, so it only needed a really light fix, but they overcorrected it way more than the opposite eye, which sometimes loosened. Why on earth?? They did a re-correction right there under local anesthesia. I paid extra for sleep anesthesia because I did not want the anesthesia pain, but in the end I still had to experience local anesthesia lol The left side looked acceptable after the re-correction, but the right eye was also overcorrected and the mucous membrane was quite everted, but they said they would not re-correct it. When I asked them to lower it a bit, they said no. If I wanted revision surgery, I would have to just open it up <- this makes no sense...;; I cried a lot and was so upset. I felt like this was wrong.. so I just gave up and went home.. It has been almost 2 years, and the doctor kept saying he was definitely right and to just wait a month, but the right eye that they did not re-correct got ruined. It is blatantly obvious that I had double-eyelid surgery lol It is functionally better so I just live with it, but if I could go back, I would never do it here. Oh, and both eyes are super asymmetrical lol smh
