Nose Surgery Reviews

Dr. Romi community review

The reason I started thinking about removing the Kojelko implant was not because of side effects, but because of the shape. Since Kojelko uses no incision and my own cartilage, there were no issues like inflammation, and recovery was fairly comfortable, so I was satisfied with that. But even as time passed, the tip of my nose kept looking unnaturally bulged upward, and that kept bothering me. At first I waited, thinking it would settle into place, but from the front it still looked blunt and protruding, so I had no choice but to look into revision surgery for removal. The director also said it seemed like there was a bit too much support left in the nose tip, and the surgery to remove it was less burdensome than I expected. Some hospitals said autologous costal cartilage was mandatory for revision materials, but this place did not require that, which I liked, and the revision went well even without using autologous costal cartilage. For the nose, safety matters, but if you do not want to have revision surgery again, I really think whether the shape suits you is the truly important thing.
