Nose Surgery Reviews

Mark Clinic Review

I had my third revision rhinoplasty at Mark in the summer of 2025. Before getting revision surgery at Mark, the hospital where I had my second surgery had really messed up my nose. During the operation, my sedation anesthesia even wore off twice, which was so shocking that I made a huge fuss because it hurt, and it honestly felt like I had entrusted my nose to someone with absolutely no aesthetic sense. My dissatisfaction with the shape was also enormous. (There was no necrosis or contracture.) For this third surgery, the conditions were: first, it had to look pretty; second, the internal scar tissue from the second surgery had formed heavily, and there had been something that kept showing inside the nostril like a booger, and that needed to be removed; and third, it had to be autologous costal cartilage, but under sedation anesthesia. Even though there were relatively few reviews, and even though I had heard the head doctor was not that friendly in consultations, there were not many places where autologous costal cartilage could be done under sedation, so I went in for a consultation. My nose had already been operated on as much as it could be, so I only asked how big the autologous rib cartilage scar would be, how inconvenient it would be when driving, how much it would hurt, and whether it would be safe even under sedation. The consultation was very short, but seeing how confident the doctor was, I decided to trust him. After having my nose ruined by a doctor who would go on and on in consultations, I thought that maybe real skill is about action rather than words. So I had the surgery, and amazingly the autologous rib cartilage was not painful at all, so I drove to the hospital the very next day to get the wound disinfected. Everyone said it was insanely painful / felt like getting shot, and from that point on I thought I had made the right choice of hospital. That said, the nose itself was quite difficult, and this third surgery was the most painful and swollen. There was no bruising, but since I had had revision surgery several times, I could feel that my nose was having a hard time. After the cotton packing was removed on day 2, it became manageable, and after a week the swelling started to go down rapidly. Even in the aftercare, they were not especially kind or overly attentive. It was just a normal hospital. But I actually liked that because it felt like a hospital where each person handled their own responsibilities in a systematic way, and I also liked that there were no foreigners. I was waiting not for a consultation, but for stitch removal, and everyone sitting there with nose taping on was Korean, which I liked as well. In the end, six months later, everyone, even my family who absolutely hates plastic surgery, says I did such a good job on my nose and that it is so pretty. I have heard nothing but great things. Since this was a second revision, the inside of my nostrils got badly chafed, and I do have some rhinitis tendencies, but aesthetically I am very satisfied.
